An Akron man is charged with burglary after breaking inside the home of an 83-year-old woman and professing his love for her, police said.
Ronald Dilworth, 43, is being held in the Summit County Jail. He was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the woman’s home on East Ralston Avenue.
Police Capt. Daniel Zampelli said Dilworth was ordered to stay away from the woman, but came there nonetheless about 2 p.m. Wednesday. The woman’s caretaker called police when the man forced his way inside.
Zampelli said Dilworth told officers “I’m in love with her” and the woman reciprocated the love and was ready to leave with him.
Who say love doesn't exist?
